Michael Bettis

Senior Associate, Operations

Michael worked with Capita as the Project Manager for the US Early Years Climate Action Task Force, and producer of its podcast. In 2024, he joined on as Senior Associate, Operations. He has been invested in the arts and creative nonprofits sector for over ten years, specializing in streamlining organizational operations by eliminating redundant processes, and improving operational and project budget management.

His passion is in creative curation, or finding ways to connect seemingly unrelated disciplines to generate impactful initiatives. He has served as the director of Serenbe's premier artist residency program where he executive produced and curated a selection of documentary short films, including 2022's Virginia Film Festival Programmer's Award winner Tuning René Marie . Presently, he is working with various organizations to develop accessible and sustainable arts communities. 

Outside of the arts, his focus of late has been on developing ideas that improve the childhood experience, wishing to ensure a safe and thriving planet to be inherited by his children.

Michael holds a B.A. in Psychology and History, and an M.A. in Humanistic Psychology from the University of West Georgia. 

He and his wife Nicole Bettis, a Montessori Director of Education, live with their two daughters outside of Atlanta, Georgia.
