About

Capita Forward is a network of philanthropic, civic, business, and social sector leadership organizations that act as our financial and intellectual partners.

Capita relies on these organizations to help us build a future in which all young children and their families flourish. Committed to action and to the power of ideas to shape culture and society, these organizations find inspiration for their work, a valuable network, and access to future-shaping insights from their affiliation with Capita.

Capita Forward Benefits

  • Membership in a network of leading philanthropic, civic, and business boundary breakers committed to the flourishing of children, families, and the common good.

  • Participation for board, staff, and/or members in monthly discussions on latest trends impacting children and families from Capita CEO Joe Waters and affiliated scholars. The topics for these briefings are determined by member requests.

  • Regular updates on Capita’s progress and impact.

  • Invitations to participate in Capita events and the opportunity to invite colleagues, customers, and stakeholders.

  • Capita Forward members have an opportunity to provide input and feedback on Capita’s activities, agenda, and outreach.

  • Participation in a members-only retreat and ecosystem strategy session.

  • Actively engage in growth and mentorship opportunities for members of Capita’s network.

  • Allow Capita to formally acknowledge your role as an advisor and supporter of our efforts. Your contribution will be used to support a range of Capita’s activities.

Nonpartisan and independent

Consistent with our mission, Capita’s employees, contractors, and other stakeholders may provide analysis and recommendations to elected officials and candidates for public office. However, employees, contractors, and other stakeholders may not participate in partisan political activities on behalf of the organization.

In the spirit of creativity and the free exploration of ideas, Capita commissions products from diverse viewpoints exploring how the great social and cultural transformations of our day affect young children, and to foster new ideas to ensure a future in which all children and families flourish. The products we commission are intended to contribute to a public dialogue and foster debate about securing a future in which all children and families flourish. The views of any one product represent those of the author and not necessarily the views of the organization, staff, Board of Directors, funders, or other stakeholders. Capita leadership and scholars make the final determination regarding the activities supported by our donors.
