It's Your Turn: A New Opportunity to Shape Our Work

We’re eager to hear more from our readers and better understand what interests you. That’s why we are launching a new effort to hear directly from you about the research, ideas, and perspectives you’d like to know more about. This is our way of letting you - and the people you serve, work with, make policy for, and care for - directly influence our work to ensure that it is truly useful, pertinent, and timely.

To start, we invite you to suggest where we need to go deeper around the theme of caregiving.

In October, we joined forces with KnowledgeWorks to publish the first-ever 10-year forecast focused on the needs of young children and families, and the great transformations in society, technology, economics, environment, and politics influencing those needs. New economic and employment realities and the aging of the population create tensions that require us to rethink programs, practices, policies, and systems as well as the underlying social values and cultural norms related to caregiving.

As we said in Foundations for Flourishing Futures, “to work toward a society in which every young child and all families can flourish, we need to broaden our lines of inquiry, embrace complexity, and take action with the future in mind.” We invite you to join us by contributing your ideas and questions as we broaden our lines of inquiry and move us all to action.

Here’s how you can get involved. When appropriate we plan to feature you and your work, host conference calls and digital events with experts focused on answering your questions, and shape the content we produce based on your input.
